Thelymitra 'Yellow Finger'

A friend very kindly sent me a tuber and I was unable fo find very much about cultivation. I tried it in a very free draining mix and it grew through the first winter, died back in spring and was never seen again. In retrospect I think I should have given it a richer mix and not been so precious about it.

The Pacific Bulb Society's introduction to the genius says:

"Thelymitra is a genus of about 80 species of terrestrial tuberous plants in the Orchidaceae family distributed throughout Australia, New Zealand and islands to the north of Australia. They are known as "sun orchids" because the colorful flowers of most species only open fully on warm, sunny days, with the desert species requiring more heat than those from temperate areas."
