There are a few variegated specimens of Trachycarpus fortunei around the country and they are astonishing.
I was offered a rogue variegated seedling of T. wagnerianus by a friend and was delighted. It isn't very strongly variegated, but it has a distinct white stripe throiugh some of the leaves,
who can say how it might develop. Even if it turns green eventually (which is quite possible) it is genuine "T. wagnerianus" and very welcome.
