A small growing red hybrid that I bought from a garden centre. The packaging promised that it was a good perennial (in tulip terms). It flowered well in the first year,
almost as well in the second year and repeated the display in the third. So far the performance has been good and I am hoping to see some increase in time.
The KAVB says it was registered by Maveridge-International B.V. in 2007 and adds the description:
"Colour summary: purple-red N57B and dark pink-red 53C. Inside: bottom inner bl.bl. black with yellow 3B border at the top. Inner bl.bl. red 45B from midrib striped to edge,
dark purple-red 53A also from center striped to edge. Anthers basal half white, distal half purple. Pollen purple or black. Exterior: base outer bl.bl. white 155C
with a spot of dark violet 79C at the top; dark violet 79C with border of yellow-green 1B. Outer bl.bl. dark rose red 53C/purple red N57B, dark rose red 53B/C edged.
Inner bl.bl. purple-red 61C along and on midrib, to edge red 46B. Stem green with distal slightly anthocyanin. Leaf green. Flower length 10 cm."
