I really like T.cominsii, so I am hoping for great things from this hybrid with T.violacea. This plant came from Liz Powney at
Prime Perennials. There are a number of very similar sister-seedlings in circulation. I haven't yet seen one that is distinctive enough to name.
Avon bulbs say:
"One of the longest flowering plants we grow, some early flowers are usually to be seen in late May, and there are usually still some flowers in October.
One deadheading session in mid-summer and a sunny well drained soil is all that is required! On the edge of hardiness here in Somerset, so protection
is probably a wise precaution. Lilac mauve flowers which, along with the foliage, is all quite strongly garlic scented. A really good patio plant."
