A small growing hybrid producing masses of white flowers. I got it from Desirable Plants, their label says: "Floriferous fine leaved hybrid. White flowers with dark tube over a long spring-summer season. Ht 25cm. Sun, warm spot or pot." The 2007-8 catalogue from Desirable Plants says: "Tulbaghia 'Fairy Snow'. NEW CULTIVAR NAME. Sarah couldn't resist the name for its ['Fairy Star'] exact counterpart in white; the base of the perianth tube is purplish, which I think adds to it." Cotswold Garden Flowers say: "Tulbaghia 'Fairy Snow' is a charming compact perennial producing starry white flowers with just a touch of purple at the centre, blooming from June to October. Growing to just 30cm, it's perfect for front-of-border planting, containers, or gravel gardens." |
