Tulbaghia leucantha H&B 11996

Archive entry 16.08.09

There has been some confusion in my mind over the proper use of the name T.leucantha and I am still wrestling with the problem, but I think this is probably the real thing.
Very thin, twisted corolla segments,a Hilliard and Burt collection but I can't find any collection details.

Plants of the World online says:

"The native range of this species is Zambia to S. Africa. It is a bulbous geophyte and grows primarily in the subtropical biome."
