Utricularia geminiloba

I have just been given this, and I know very little about it, but it has been quite vigorous and seems to be adaptable. Originating from Brazil and related to U. reniformis so I hoped that it might tolerate conditions in the greenhouse.

Hewitt-Cooper Carnivorous Plants say:

"A fascinating species from Brazil which produces stalked leaves, and the most beautiful flower. Related to U. reniformis and U. nelumbifolia, and with a similar flower, but on a smaller scale. Grow as a terrestrial species with a minimum of 10 degrees Celsius, and it romps away. RARE.

Writing in Carnivorous Plant Newsletter in 2001, Fernando Rivadavia said:

"Judging from what I observed in the wild, I would say U. geminiloba can be ghrown in moist soil year-round, without a dry dormancy. It also seems to like indirect sunlight, high air humidity, and constantly cool temperatures between 10 and 25degC."
