A small growing hybrid, part of the breeding push to produce small growing plants in the style of Vanda falcata
but with strongly coloured flowers. Registered by O. N. Takaki in 1989, a cross between Vanda falcata and x Vandachostylis Lou Sneary. It should be a good thing, I can hope for pale blue flowers but I imagine it will take a few years. I am not sure that this young plant had a growing point when it was delivered and although it came through the winter it died without producing any new growth. |
