I have planted a number of sweet violet cultivars out in the woods, among the Hellebores, and they will either prosper and be marvellous, or fade away.
They do really poorly in pots, so it is the only real option.
I still haven't found adequate labels for the woods (legible, durable, unobtrusive), so little tots like this are likely to become confused, though this one should
be distinctive. I got it from Groves and their label says: |
