Viola odorata 'Mistress Mallory'

Rich pink flowers. This one is rather mangled and under the foliage, but it has performed better under the trees.

Roy Coombs says:

"'Mistress Mallory' (Carman, New Zealand). Large rose-pink, paler at edges of petals. Later flowering."

Peters Staudengartnerei includes the delightful note that:

"all violets tend to become wild".

That's something to think about.
