Although Watsonia meriana var. bulbillifera is usually treated as a single clone, I have been given two plants that seem to differ in flower colour. They
are both very similar to the typical form, so it will take a couple of years to confirm that the differences are real. Both plants came from Jim Cave at Fir Tree Farm nursery. This one is evedently not red, but it does have darker flowers than the usual pale orange. It also seems to have narrower petals that show some faint darker lines, especially near the throat. |
