Whatever it may turn out to be, this is not actually a form of Watsonia pillansii ! It looks very like a hybrid of W.galpinii or W. knysnana, but speculation about its parentage is probably pointless. In the garden it has been a reliable, short perennial. I got it from Proper Plants in Lostwithiel, their label said: "Perennial, 2ft. Soft pink flared tubular flowers with a hint of apricot and navy blue anthers, on strong stems, in early summer. Free draining soil, sun. Protect, or pot grow in colder areas." |
