The species is said to vary from white and lilac to purple. This clone is distincly pinkish becoming more so
as the flowers age. As the flower opens the stamens just exceed the tepals in length, which is significant
in identifying the species. As the flowers mature, the stamens continue to elongate and the species become harder
to determine.
In the Flora of China , this keys out as Y.kansuensis.
