Paeonia 'Bartzella'

An early Itoh hybrid (or intersectional hybrid) peony raised by Roger Anderson in Wisconsin in 1986.
It combines the flower form of a double white P. lactiflora with the colour of the tree peonies, in this case an unnamed Reath hybrid.
One of the best and most vigorous of the yellow hybrids that has been produced, the flowers are long lasting and produced very freely.
I planted it in 2018 and it has steadily become more magnificent with every year.
