Part of the new wave of Patio Roses
that attracted my attention. The also attracted the attention of the rabbits, and only this one survived.
It has grown much taller than the 60cm claimed, is without fragrance but flowers almost continually
from early summer to frost. I like the loose shape of the flowers. Bred by Mogens Nyegaard Olsen in Denmark in 1997 from an unnamed seedling x 'Grand Palace'. Part of a program to develop hardy roses for the Danish climate. It was introduced in Denmark in 2005 by Poulsen Roser A/S under the trading name HAVANA HIT. The description on HelpMeFind.com says: "Dark red. None to mild fragrance. 15 to 25 petals. Average diameter 1.25". Small, semi-double to double, cluster-flowered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. " |
