Roscoea cautleyoides 'Pennine Purple'

A deep purple selection of the species by Neil and Sue Huntley at Hartside Nursery Garden. Their catalogue says:

"Our own selection. Good clean colour with an attractive contrasting cream eye. Flowering mainly in May - June and producing some flowers regularly later in the summer. 40cm. Awarded a Preliminary Commendation by the Joint Rock Garden Plant Committee."
