In 2006 I created a lot of hybrid seed by deliberate pollination, just to see what happened. This yellow seedling has just flowered, and could be mistaken for R.cautleyoides, though it is worth noting the tiny purple dots scattered on the flower. The seed parent was R.tibetica however, so there is little doubt that it is the hybrid. The pollen parent was R.cautleyoides 'Last Emperor' so this July flowering is not unexpected.
The pollination only produced a single seedling.
